Olympian Jordan Chiles’s Skincare Routine and Competition Makeup Look

When Jordan Chiles starts to walk Vogue through her beauty regime, she’s already wearing an on-theme accessory. The artistic gymnast has Olympic rings dangling from her neck, which foretells a monumental trip she’s about to take. Ahead of her stint at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Chiles shares how she keeps her skincare routine and “Olympic makeup look” at the top of their game.

The Team USA vet kicks it all off with a “good cleanse” using Fenty’s creamy face wash. After tapping on Summer Fridays’ exfoliating toner, she takes the glow up a notch with Bliss Vitamin C serum and Charlotte Tilbury’s cooling serum. A deep hydration serum adds “freshness” to her face, Chiles says, before sharing more tips for looking fresh. “Self-care is a huge thing when it comes to athletes,” she says. Spending time with family and friends is at the top of her own self-care list, and sleep is another non-negotiable. “You’re gonna see a girl snoozing,” she says of her downtime, miming a moment of beauty rest.

But at the moment, Chiles’s day is not done, so she moisturizes with Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic cream before loading up on SPF. In case it’s not clear, “I love my skin,” the 23-year-old says, happily giving it some more love with Bliss’s star-flecked eye masks.

Speaking of stars, Chiles likes to “vibe out” to tracks from Rihanna and Beyoncé while she bops through her makeup routine—in which brows are her first priority. “Having a good brow brings a lot of character to you,” she says, giving herself an excellent one with Makeup by Mario Brow Gel and Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. Once her brows are “giving we won gold,” Chiles tends to her lids with Milani eyeshadow primer, brown Too Faced shadows, and a glittery blue top coat from Patrick Starrr’s Wicked palette

Declaring her eyeshadow sufficiently “giving,” Chiles moves onto her next step, which she learned on the competition floor. “Since we have so many bright lights, it does give a better effect if your under-eyes are a little brighter than normal,” she says, dotting concealer onto the area before topping it with two shades of Fenty setting powder.

While her under-eyes bake, Chiles reaches for bronzer and issues a cheeky warning. “This is where Jordan gets carried away,” she quips, getting a “snatched” look as she swirls the bronzer onto her cheeks and under her chin. A pop of Dior blush comes next, and then the self-professed “lash girlie” swipes on a bit of DiorShow mascara.

All that’s left are the lips, and Chiles creates an ombre pour while recalling an incident that left her starry-eyed. As she uses Makeup by Mario lip liners and Milani Fruit Fetish oils, the medalist says: “I met Megan Thee Stallion. She was like friend, I’m gonna come see you in Paris!” And that’s exactly where Chiles is headed. “I’ll see you at the Olympics,” she trills, with her winning look complete. “And that’s on period.”
